From a young age Saia was thrust into the dynamic world of music, and drumming, and all the influence it has to offer. So-much-so, that after picking up his first set of sticks at 6, by 14 years of age, Saia had secured his first Gold Coast Battle-of-the-Bands win. He is now in demand, Australia and world-wide, securing slots with artists as diverse as 2009 Australian Idol winner, Stan Walker, to musical Jazz legends, The new Galapagos Duck, featuring on stages the likes of Sydney Entertainment Centre, and regularly performing on TV spots, including “Hey Hey It’s Saturday”.
Simon Watts and Andrew Cesan go by the name of ‘Two Man Crew’. The initials ‘TMC’ are also the name of their Hip-Hop crew which they founded in 2006. TMC the crew have been NZ champions twice, and have represented NZ at the World Hip Hop Championships. Simon and Andrew have been dancing together for 11 years and have won numerous dance competitions individually and as a duo in both Tap and hip-hop. In 2007 they were the supreme duo winners at the NZ Group Dance Awards and in 2008 they were close runners up in Prime TV’s ‘New Zealand’s Got Talent’ competition. Since then, ‘Two Man Crew’ have been in demand as guest performers at both dance festivals and events. Their recognition took them internationally to tour many countries in the European Tap show ‘Tap Reloaded’.
Simon and Andrew have a fascination for rhythm in all its forms and a desire to keep taking Tap dance to new levels.
